The 1950s and 1960s saw a remarkable rise in Jewish authors
whose work captured the American imagination and became part
of the cultural mainstream. Join renowned teacher Jody Hirsh
as we explore short stories by in昀氀uential writers including Saul
Bellow, Tillie Olsen, Bernard Malamud, Grace Paley, J.D. Salinger,
Philip Roth, and Isaac Bashevis Singer. We’ll examine the themes,
ideas, and lasting impact of these important Jewish voices.

Mah Jongg! Mah Jongg (or Mahj) is a rummy-like game played
with tiles instead of cards. Co昀昀ee, tea, and light snacks are provided. Please coordinate with your tablemates to bring a set!
