Painting Is Seeing: The Art of Ron Sado昀昀

For Ron Sado昀昀, painting began as a hobby and soon grew
into a passion rooted in a simple but profound idea: Painting
Is Seeing. A self-taught artist, Ron’s vibrant acrylic paintings
capture the everyday moments, relationships, and experiences
that bring joy, connection, and color to our lives. Created with
bold palette and brush knife textures and an unmistakable
sense of energy, his work re昀氀ects an artist’s curiosity and a
lifetime spent investing in people, places, and community. This
exhibition invites viewers to slow down, look a little closer,
and discover the extraordinary in the ordinary through Ron’s

around the world. Narrative or documentary, new or old,
the Film Festival 昀椀nds the highest quality 昀椀lms that speak
to the Jewish experience, tell uniquely Jewish stories, or
come from the 昀椀nest Jewish 昀椀lmmakers across the globe.

Milwaukee artists are invited to participate in a collaborative
exhibit bringing together artists from Milwaukee and Israel.
Through two workshops, artists will connect, share ideas, and
partner with an Israeli artist to create complementary works of
art. If you’re interested in building a creative connection across
communities, we’d love to have you be part of this project!

Among Neighbors blends traditional storytelling with elements
of magical realism to explore the history of a small rural town
where people of di昀昀erent faiths lived side by side for centuries –
until that coexistence was shattered by violence. Examining the
murder of Holocaust survivors in Poland six months after the
end of World War II, the 昀椀lm explores memory, love, betrayal,
and the lasting impact of this community’s choices.
